Good Venue

I was treated to a good hockey game in which the Wild rallied from two goals down to beat San Jose in a shootout. Although my seat would probably be considered one of the worst in the house, (upper level, corner) it was still a good view. That's what I like about Excel Energy Center. Most any seat is a good seat. The arena has a new scoreboard and it is excellent. It's very big, the video screen is sharp & clear. A real plus for the fans.Tickets for Wild games can be rather pricey, though, which is why I don't go more often. Parking and traffic in and out were a bit difficult as well. Not unbearable, but I go to Target Field to see the Twins and Target Center for Timberwolves games and getting to and from the games is quite a bit easier. All things considered though, a pretty good evening.

Crappy purse policy!!

Overall, Excel was a great place to see a hockey game, but they sent out no warning that they were starting a purse policy the night of the game I attended with my cousin on 10/11/2018. We were in from Chicago to go to this game in St Paul, MN, but had used a rideshare service to get there. Since Excel didn't have any lockers for purses, we had to take a car back to our hotel to drop off our purses, and then take a car back to the Excel Center. The Excel workers didn't seem very sympathetic to our situation, either. An email should have been sent out through Ticketmaster stating the new policy for the game. It was an expensive and aggravating night for travel.
